During your stay in the country, it is possible to study English and/or French, to sightsee, take part in cultural events, excursions to places of great interest in the region, wine tasting, dance, history or art classes and several other unforgettable activities. To immerse yourself in another culture, with other customs, is very enriching!

Ottawa

For those interested in doing the 50 Plus program, Ottawa is a perfect destination – a lively and culturally rich city with museums and galleries. You can visit the Parliament, Museum of History, the National Art Gallery, the Natural Science Museum and many other more. Some activities and events are specific to certain times of the year, for example:

Summer

During the summer, it is possible to walk along the Rideau Canal or enjoy the celebrations of July 1st, Canada Fay, when the city is decorated to celebrate the anniversary of the country. There is also the Ottawa Bluesfest, Jazz Fest and other very lively events that take place at this time of the year.

Spring

In the spring, more specifically in May, the Canadian Tulip Festival takes place. This is the ideal period for those who enjoy flowers and fresh smells and colours of spring.

October

In the fall, walks in the parks are much more pleasant. It is at this time that the colorful leaves of the maple trees also turn shades of red, orange and yellow. It is worth experiencing!

Winter

If you like snow, winter can be a great time of the year to visit Ottawa. You can go skating on the Rideau Canal (the longest outdoor skating rink in the world)  experience Winterlude, a fun event that has several attractions, including ice sculptures.
